VCS Community Change Project
The multi-service VCS Community Change Project provides a critical analysis of the social and political conditions relating to domestic violence, racism, sexism, heterosexism, bias-related incidents and other issues of oppression. The community programs developed to achieve the goals of the Project include:
Community Commitment to End Domestic Violence
Services designed to end domestic violence, including:
o Domestic Violence Classes for Men: For court-ordered men
who batter women.
o National Training Institute: "Men Who Batter and Community Commitment to End Domestic Violence." For professional and lay leaders involved in the movement to end domestic violence. Open to all.
o Stop F.E.A.R. Coalition (Family abuse, Endangering women and
children, Abuse of all kinds, Rape and sexual assault): For community-based institutions, public policy makers, and elected officials.
o Consultation/Training/Presentations: For any interested agency,
institution, organization, business or community member.
Fees: Domestic Violence Classes for Men are offered on a sliding scale; other fees vary depending on the specific event or program.

Anti-Racism
Training resources that educate and help to facilitate anti-racist initiatives within the community, including:
o Undoing Racism Workshops: People's Institute for Survival and Beyond
o Community Organizing
o Consultation/Training/Presentations
Population Served: Community-based organizations, government agencies, businesses, public policy makers and officials, and members of the community.
Fees: Vary depending upon the program or service provided

Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender (LGBT)
Affirming Community Services
LGBT affirming events, programs, organizing and training are offered to the community, including:
o Gay Pride Rockland
o Community Education Series
o Community Organizing/Training/Consultation
Population Served: LGBT members of the community, their families, friends and service providers, interested agencies, institutions, organizations and businesses. Open to all
Fees: Programs are free; training fees vary depending upon the
service provided.
